About Artist Jo Ubogy CosCob, CT

Jo Ubogy’s botanical collages explore the subtle delineation of floral veins, filaments and petals. The artist first photographs and digitally manipulates exotic blossoms from her garden. She then prints, cuts and reassembles the photographic elements as a multiple-layered, large scale collage onto a substrate that has been cut to echo the floral edge, thus combining her background as both sculptor and mixed-media artist.
Ubogy is a Juried Artist Member of the Silvermine Guild, New Canaan and The National Association of Women Artists. She has shown extensively in New England and the Middle Atlantic States and is the winner of numerous awards including Silvermine's Art of the North East.
