| Lynn Stephens Massey is a watercolor artist whose style and theme are ever evolving. She is currently in her “paper bag” period, combining her artist’s eye with an eco/recycling ethic to bring beauty to her latest works on brown paper bags and recycled papers. Using her own unique style Lynn brings life to found objects from coastal artifacts to bugs and insects. Her adept use of color and design make her pieces both dramatic and unusual.
Stephens Massey was first introduced to watercolors while enrolled at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland, OR. She delved deeper into her talents while studying illustration at The Art Center College of Art in Pasadena, CA. After a year at the Ecole des Beaus-Arts in Paris France, she was eager to begin her career as an illustrator. Lynn’s professional career began in Los Angeles as an editorial illustrator. In 1981, she transitioned to New York illustrating for books, magazines, advertising.
In 1990, Lynn moved to Rowayton, Connecticut. Her work is widely exhibited both locally and nationally. Lynn Stephens Massey’s work is included in many private collections. She is currently receiving commissions. Her works can be viewed and purchased on her web site, www.lynnstephensmassey.com.
